Evening walks these days have become slow paced and more about appreciating the changing scenery. At this point, I have witnessed all the major seasonal changes in Atlanta.
The dread of the dark winter with its persistent gloom was a first for me. I come from North India and am familiar with cold. However, weeks and weeks of relentless gloom were a first. It can be overwhelming at times without sun, from boredom to becoming one with the mundane drudgery of life; but it was still sweet and cozy in the morning.
Look at some of the images I captured; an epitome of winter bleak.
As the first bloom started to make its way, it got me excited to witness spring closely. I am now an avid follower of my neighborhood plants and trees and continuously notice the growth of foliage and blooming flowers.
The trees are aglow with sunshine these days, much like my own body. I’m growing, not much of a glow, and becoming rounder by the day. It happens during pregnancy, I’m told, but it’s an unfamiliar sight seeing your fingers and face swell and accompanied by passing tiredness.
All is well, I pray for it to remain the same and for faith and peace to become permanent in this fluctuating economy.
That is all for today. Share your thoughts on evening walks or changes in the body you experienced during your pregnancy.
